A total of 153 complaints from drivers and pedestrians were made by the Police as part of the 4.161 checks carried out from 6 yesterday afternoon until 6 this morning for violation of the traffic ban measures imposed to stop the coronavirus pandemic.
At the same time, it carried out 1.111 inspections of premises without complaint.
According to a representative of the Press Office of the Police Headquarters, by province, in Nicosia there were 2.111 checks of drivers and pedestrians and 50 complaints, in Limassol 606 checks and 16 complaints, in Larnaca 409 checks and 28 complaints, in Paphos 120 checks and 18 complaints, in Famagusta 411 inspections and 26 complaints and in Morphou 114 inspections and one complaint.
Regarding the 1.111 inspections in premises without complaint, by province, 360 inspections were carried out in Nicosia, in Limassol 117, in Lanka 194, in Paphos 183, in Famagusta 152 and in Morfou 104
In addition, 390 checks and 14 complaints were made by the Traffic Headquarters and the MMAD.
