Police search in 18 apartments – Five illegal aliens were found

Five persons were arrested by the Paphos Police, in order to facilitate investigations regarding an investigated case of illegal stay in the territory of the Republic, in a coordinated operation that was carried out on Sunday in Tremithousa, Paphos district.

According to the Assistant Police Director of Paphos Operations Michalis Nikolaou, a coordinated operation was carried out yesterday Sunday for the purposes of preventing and investigating crime and promoting a sense of security in Paphos, between the hours of 18:00-20:30, in the Saint George complex, in the area of ​​Tremithousa where foreign persons reside.

Mr. Nikolaou told KYPE that around 80 policemen from the ADE Paphos, YKAN (Klimakio Paphos) and MMAD participated in the operation.

A total of 18 apartments and 80 persons were searched. In the context of the operation, 5 persons were identified, four men and one woman, who from further examinations showed that they were residing illegally in the territory of the Republic.

All five were subsequently arrested and detained for deportation.
