A wide-ranging meeting at the Ministry of Finance, attended by the Ministers of Health and Education and involving educational organizations, parents' confederations and other stakeholders, is taking place today at 15:00.
The meeting is expected to address the issue of anti-protocols COVID-19 in schools and especially the measure of test - to - stay.
As the President of OELMEK Costas Hadjisavvas had stated in KYPE, OELMEK's position is the operation of the schools, but above all safety and health, without the slightest discount on health issues.
The POED will also submit its suggestions for the test - to - stay measure. As the President of POED Myria Vassiliou had stated in KYPE, the need for substantial support of the school units and their addresses has emerged, since the requirements of the protocols, the traces, the various circulars and announcements that are issued constantly, aggravate their already difficult which in many cases fall short of staff.
The meeting is also expected to include suggestions from kindergartens and special schools regarding the protocols in force.
