During the new school year 2021-2022, there will be a total of 113 schools of Secondary General Education, of which 63 Gymnasiums (high school cycle only), 38 Lyceums and 8 six-grade schools with full gymnasium and lyceum cycle, including the Rizokarpas Gymnasium, data from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth.

Also, according to the data of the Ministry of Education, there will be five Evening Gymnasiums-Lyceums, in which the registrations will be completed in the middle of September.

In addition, it is expected that during the new school year will attend a total of 40.800 students, of which 23.200 will attend high school and 17.600 in high school, while for this year the total number of secondary school teachers expected to serve is at 6.380.

It is reminded that, in the school year 2021-2022, the assessment of the student in the context of the four months is extended for the DG of Lyceum, according to the Regulations on the Operation of Public Secondary Schools (Amending) (No. 2) Regulations of 2020, while applying the separation of Baccalaureate and Pancyprian Access Examinations.

In his statements to KYPE, the Director of Secondary Education Kyprianos Louis, said that as the Directorate of Secondary Education they have specific challenges.
