The Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem closes for the first time since the plague pandemic struck the city in 1349 as authorities try to limit the spread of the coronavirus.

The Temple Commissioners, considered one of the holiest sites in Christianity, have been forced to lock in as the country takes increasingly strict measures to contain the pandemic, including the closure of shrines.

Residents can only leave their homes to buy food or go to the pharmacy.
