An unknown person broke into the offices of the Social Welfare Services in Paphos during the night, causing damage to the office equipment, although it does not appear at first glance that anything has been stolen.

According to the press representative of ADE Paphos and Head of TAE Paphos Michalis Nikolaou, it was reported on Tuesday morning to the Paphos Police by an employee of the Welfare Office that the main entrance of the building of the Welfare Office in Paphos was violated.

Mr. Nikolaou told KYPE that from the Police examinations it was established that "during the night, an unknown person or persons breached the main entrance and entered the offices, causing damages amounting to 1400 euros".

"At first glance it didn't appear anything was stolen," he added.

Mr. Nikolaou stated that the scene has been cordoned off and various items of evidence have been taken from it for scientific examination.

The scene is guarded by the Paphos Police and the examinations continue.
