Stavros Pantelis, 65 years old, former resident of Nicosia, is the victim of a fatal car accident that occurred last night on the Ayia Napa - Larnaca highway.
The fatal traffic accident happened around 9.30 pm, when the heavy truck that Pantelis was driving, on the above highway, in the direction of the Rizoelia Roundabout, under conditions that are being investigated, deviated from its course, first hit a traffic signal and then immobilized off-road.
A high voltage electricity pole of the EAC was also cut off from the accident. The 65-year-old, who was fatally injured, was released by members of the Fire Service and transported to Larnaca General Hospital, where the doctor on duty confirmed his death.
