Photographs of property and objects, such as jewelry and power tools, that have been found and are being investigated whether they have been stolen from homes, premises, vehicles, and persons, are being released by the Police, in order to possibly identify the owners of the property and objects.
Among those found were a large number of gold, silver and other jewelery, watches, collectible coins, mobile phones and laptops, including a tablet, a TV, electrical appliances, bags and sunglasses, as well as electrical and other tools.
Police are appealing to citizens who believe that their stolen or lost property may be found in the objects shown in the photos, such as contacting the Paphos Police Department at 26-806021 or the Citizens' Line at 1460 or with the Police Station in their area.
The property was found by members of the Police, on Saturday, January 22, 2022, during a search of a house in the province of Paphos, where a 33-year-old man lived, suspected of a number of cases of burglary and theft, as well as car theft. The search was conducted in the presence of the 33-year-old and the 29-year-old who also lived in the residence.
After the two suspects did not give sufficient explanations for the possession of the found, they were arrested by the members of the Police and detained with court orders, to investigate the cases of burglary and theft and the case of illegal possession of property.
The possibility that the property found was a product of theft is being investigated, with the Paphos TAE conducting examinations to identify those found by their owners.
