A new case of child pornography is being investigated by the Police, whose members arrested the 34-year-old today, in order to facilitate the investigations.
According to a police statement, the investigation of the case started after information given to the Police, by EUROPOL, according to which a user of a specific account on an online social networking platform uploaded a video file of child sexual abuse material on the internet.
From the examinations carried out by the Office for the Fight against Cybercrime, the details of the suspect, aged 34, were verified.
Shortly after 10.00 on Saturday morning, members of the Office for the Fight against Cybercrime proceeded to arrest the 34-year-old, with a court warrant. An investigation was carried out, based on a court warrant, at the home of the suspect, in whose possession a mobile phone was found, which was received for a judicial examination.
The 34-year-old was taken into custody for the purpose of investigating the case, with the Cybercrime Office continuing the investigation, the announcement concludes.
