The police authorities in Larnaca were put on alert on Tuesday night.
Following information received by the authorities, they rushed to a busy street in the center of Larnaca and stopped a fan fight between Omonia 29M fans and friends of Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The Police Spokesman, Christos Andreou stated that nine Police patrols rushed to the area, stopping any meeting of the fans, while no damage or injuries were recorded.
The police authorities will be on alert throughout the stay of Maccabi fans in Cyprus, while tonight there will be increased security measures for the game between AEK and Maccabi at the "Arena".
It is recalled that the incident in Larnaca comes as a continuation of the murderous attack that occurred on Monday night in New Philadelphia resulting in the death of 29-year-old Michalis.
