The abduction case is being investigated by the members of TAE Limassol.
It all started at 7:30 on Wednesday morning when the case was reported to the Police by a citizen.
According to the Police, a 30-year-old man was arrested who was living with a 50-year-old woman, from whom he was constantly asking for money.
The woman gave in to his blackmail, giving him the amount of money he asked for. At some point, the 50-year-old had no other money to give him, with the result that the 30-year-old started beating her.
He then grabbed the 50-year-old, took her to an unknown place and beat her constantly.
The incident was noticed by a citizen, who informed the authorities.
The members of TAE Limassol proceeded to his arrest and a case against the 30-year-old was immediately registered in court.
