The circumstances of the 45-year-old woman's critical injury cannot yet be ruled out, said the head of the TAE Limassol, Lefteris Kyriakou, noting that her partner expresses ignorance about her injuries.
In statements, outside the apartment building where the 45-year-old girl lives and pending the completion of the investigations on the scene by a medical examiner, members of the HYPEGE and TAE Limassol, Mr. Kyriakou said that "the circumstances under which the girl was injured, her condition which is very critical are being investigated and so far we cannot exclude anything".
He added that her partner, who has been arrested for illegally staying on the territory of the Republic, maintains that the 45-year-old woke up in the morning and told him that she was not feeling well, and then an ambulance was called, which took her to a private hospital.
Asked to comment on information that the two had consumed a quantity of alcohol in the evening, the head of the TAE Limassol said that "we are in the very early stages and we cannot exclude anything, the tests are ongoing, the medical examiner examined both the partner and the injured woman and they are expected the exhibitions, but also to take some other tests".
Reiterating that all possibilities are being investigated, he said that "all the tests have been done with neighbors from the apartment building and with people from close friends and family, several statements were taken and we are trying to establish, as I have told you, under what circumstances he was injured".
It is recalled that the 45-year-old woman, who is of Ukrainian origin, is hospitalized in a comatose state, with a hematoma and a fracture on the right side of the head.
