A woman complains about the handling that her father had in a public hospital through her post.
The woman spoke on the front page and claimed that the majority did not provide the necessary care to the patients, as a result of which they left without dignity.
Analyzing the facts, she initially reported that her father had a chronic heart condition.
It is noted that the woman had initially spoken to the "Limassol Newspaper" about the incident.
In October 2020, she said, her father was admitted to Limassol Hospital for the first time with pulmonary edema and two days after his discharge he had to be hospitalized again for pneumonia, "which germ apparently acquired from the hospital," she said.
He continued by saying the following:
"Every time he came out of the hospital he was in the same clothes we used to take him to, even though we took clean clothes to change him, but they probably did not have the time."
"We could not visit him but we were talking on camera and he was telling us that he was ringing the bells, because he felt his heart beating very loudly, and no one went. We got on the phone and they told us it was fine. He was not crazy, he was sick. "
"He had to be hospitalized a third time because due to the many drugs he was taking, he suffered from kidney failure. One day when we called him he was screaming he could not articulate a word. We asked for it to be axial ".
"We were told he did not show anything but when he was released he wrote that he had suffered multiple strokes."
He added, "Unfortunately the fourth time he had to be hospitalized, due to high pulses, they saw that the end was coming and they let us go with a rapid test to see him for 5 minutes. I will never forget the pictures I saw ".
"My father was a man of dignity for 71 years and for the last three months he has been deprived of the right to retain his dignity. They had him unwashed and without clothes. He had an eye infection and when I asked a nurse what happened to his eyes, he told me that he did not see anything. "
"After a few days he fell out of bed and instead of being notified by the hospital, the man next to him alerted me. He told me that your father fell asleep and was in a pool of blood from 3 o'clock in the morning until 10 o'clock when the doctor came ".
"I call the hospital in the morning without telling them I know about the incident, and they did not tell me anything."
"I went and saw him after two days and he was still dirty with blood everywhere. He was infected by the wounds, "he said.
At the same time, she stated that they will file a complaint against the Hospital, but stressed that its purpose is to hear this story about the other people who will need to be treated at the Limassol Hospital.
"It is not possible to have this treatment from the Hospital provided by the state. "Apart from assigning responsibilities, something must change."
