With percentage of alcohol in her body, four times the allowable limit, was driven by a 24-year-old woman, who was involved in a car accident with a police vehicle.
Specifically around 2.30 p.m. today, while the 24-year-old was driving her car, on 28th of October Street, in Limassol, under conditions that are being investigated collided with her police vehicle in front, which was on patrol. The collision did not result in any injuries.
When considering the circumstances of the conflict, A preliminary alcohol test was performed on the 24-year-old, with a positive result. He was therefore taken to the Limassol Traffic Police, where he underwent a final alcohol test with a lower reading of 80μg%, instead of 22μg%.
The 24-year-old was released and is expected to be charged with driving offense under the influence of alcohol, in a later stage.
The causes of the collision are being investigated by the Limassol Traffic Police.
