OELMEK appeals to the Minister of Education, so that the schools are included in the places where massive rapid tests are carried out, where they currently present a special epidemiological burden, in a letter to the Minister of Education.
According to an announcement, in the letter OELMEK states that "in the meeting we had with you on October 22, 2020, we had submitted a request for immediate mass and free tests in schools where cases are detected COVID-19. You had told us then that as soon as the rapid tests ordered by the Ministry of Health were introduced in Cyprus, the specific tests would be carried out in schools ".
"Unfortunately, while rapid rapid tests have been introduced and are being carried out en masse in the population, schools in the areas where these tests are being conducted have not been included," it said.
"Therefore, we invite you to proceed with the inclusion of schools in places where rapid rapid tests are carried out, starting from the schools that currently have a special epidemiological burden", concludes OELMEK.
