The "unlocking" plan of Cyprus is announced today by the Minister of Health, Konstantinos Ioannou.
The Council of Ministers meets from 9:30 in the morning and will consider the proposals submitted by the epidemiological team to the President of the Republic.
The press conference for the announcements is scheduled at 12:30 pm with the participation of the Head of the Advisory Scientific Committee for the coronavirus, Dr. Konstantinos Tsiotis.
The information states that the sms will remain while it is not excluded that they will increase from two to three. The rallies will be extended for at least another 10 days as the risk of spreading the virus in rallies at home is much higher.
During the first phase, it is proposed that barbershops, hairdressers, beauty salons and institutes and gyms be reactivated. This phase also includes the opening of retail trade. It has not locked that in this phase department stores and shopping malls will be reactivated.
As far as the schools are concerned, it is considered certain, as everything shows, the return of the Primary schools, while it has not been clarified whether the seniors will return to the desks together with the primary schools. What is also taken for granted is the control by examination and implementation of protocols in the companies that will be reactivated at least on a weekly basis.
Finally, cafes, bars and the catering industry in general are heading to open probably in March.
