In a statement, the Federation of Leisure Center Owners Associations (OSIKA) expresses its deep concern over the attack that took place on a responsible company in Limassol last Friday due to the safe pass.

As is the announcement OSICA:

"The Federation of Leisure Center Owners Associations (OSIKA) expresses its intense concern about the attack that took place on a responsible company in Limassol last Friday due to the safe pass.

Unfortunately, we are verifying what we said that it is not possible for the control to be an obligation of the person in charge of the company, but it should be done by a properly trained and qualified person. The problem is particularly acute in companies that do not employ security guards such as restaurants, cafes, etc. At the same time, due to the financial problems that companies have been facing for the last 16 months, they cannot bear the cost of hiring security guards.

This incident is very serious and should not be downgraded. In addition to the psychological pressure that companies have with the control of safe passes, there is now the fear for their physical integrity, something that can not be tolerated.

We reiterate our position that we are not against the use of the safe pass but we urge the Government to find other ways of control, without endangering the safety of businesses and employees. "
