A van carrying nine people was engulfed in flames, a few minutes after 9 in the morning on the Thessaloniki-Neon Moudania national road near the Lakkomatos area in Thessaloniki.
According to the first information from the Fire Service, the bus transported Cypriot visitors from Mount Athos to the "Macedonia" airport, who are in good health, as well as the driver of the vehicle.
The vehicle was severely damaged.
Six firefighters attempted to extinguish the fire with four vehicles. The exact causes of the fire remain unknown.
