The Ministry meets at 11:30 to make decisions

The Council of Ministers is meeting today at 11:30 in the morning to take stricter measures to stop the pandemic.

Ministers and members of the inter-ministerial committee have prepared specific proposals to support employees, businesses and the economy in general, in view of the general lockdown expected.

According to information from KYPE, the primary goal of the measures that will be decided is to decongest the health system and stop the contagion of the virus. The same information stated that "the primary concern of the Government is to bring the best plans, within its capabilities, to support workers, businesses and the local economy in general."

The Government, according to the information of KYPE, is oriented towards a general lockdown with the maintenance of the essential and basic services, with open the food chain, supermarkets, pharmacies, gas stations and possibly the construction sector.

Orientation also includes distance learning at all levels. The measures are expected to take effect in 3 weeks.
