Mr. Anastasiadis also added that it is not expected until Monday, that there will be a dramatic improvement in the epidemiological picture of the country.
In the same show, the member of the advisory committee of the Ministry of Health also spoke, Petros Karagiannis, whose estimate was that if the schools open next week, will not work properly, as many teachers and students will be absent due to a positive coronavirus diagnosis.
He also said that all the data show that the Omicron variant is going to prevail in the community. However, he pointed out that there is a risk that new strains of the coronavirus will emerge from him combination of the Delta variant with the Omicron, which, as Mr. Karagiannis stated, will be more aggressive.
