As part of traffic checks, members of the Paphos Traffic Police stopped for a check half an hour after midnight today, a car driven by a 36-year-old man.

During the breathalyzer test, the initial reading was 101μg instead of 22μg, while in the final test the reading was 93μg instead of 22μg, which is the maximum legal limit.

A search of the car followed where an iron fist was found as well as an opening knife with an 8cm long blade.

The 36-year-old was arrested for the above spontaneous offenses and was taken into custody while the Minor Offenses Department and the Paphos Traffic Police continue their investigations.
