The Police proceeded to arrest two persons, a 24-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man, suspects in relation to four robbery cases, committed in the last three days in the Nicosia province. The two suspects were taken into custody, with the Police Stations of Kliros and Lakatamia investigating.

These are specifically four cases of robbery allegedly committed in a shop in the village of Arediou, at noon last Tuesday, in two kiosks in the villages of Psimolofou and Ergates, shortly before noon last Wednesday and in a kiosk in the Anthoupoli area, in Lakatamia, shortly before at noon yesterday Thursday.

According to the data under investigation, a suspicious woman entered the first three premises, where, under the threat of a knife, she stole sums of money from the cash register of the two premises, while she fled from the third premises, after the employee at the premises refused to give her the money.

The fourth robbery was allegedly committed at gunpoint, after a female suspect who entered the premises allegedly demanded the employee hand over the cash register money, claiming as a threat that she was in possession of a gun, inside a bag she placed on the checkout counter.

From the examinations carried out by members of the Kliros and Lakatamia Police Stations, in collaboration with members of the Burglary Squad, TAE Nicosia, evidence emerged against the 24-year-old suspect, as well as against the 28-year-old suspect. Arrest warrants were issued against them, under which they were arrested shortly after 2.30 pm yesterday Thursday.
