Three repatriation flights are expected to arrive today, Saturday (25/04) at Larnaca Airport, transporting people trapped abroad due to the coronavirus pandemic as well as students wishing to return to Cyprus from the countries where they are studying.

This is a flight that arrives from Heraklion at 14:45 and two more from the United Kingdom. One is expected to arrive from Birmingham at 18:50 and the other from London at 20:50.

According to the Minister of Transport, Giannis Karousos, "a program has already been drawn up for the repatriation of our compatriots, with flights that take place daily until April 30, based on the list of priorities."

Essentially, as Mr. Karousos states, these are people who belong to vulnerable groups, young people who do foundation courses and live in dormitories and other students who after being grouped will be repatriated to Cyprus with various flights.
