The decisions of the Minister of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance regarding the Special Plans for dealing with the effects of the coronavirus were published in the official newspaper of the Republic.

In a statement, the Ministry of Labor states that according to the said Decision, companies and self-employed persons active in the field of washing and (dry) cleaning of textiles and fur products (Steam cleaners) have the opportunity to participate in the Special Partial Suspension Plan of the Company (KDP 16/2021) and in the Special Plan of Certain Categories of Self-Employed Employees (KDP 18/2021) respectively, which are implemented for the period from January 1, 2021 to January 31 of 2021.

As he notes, a separate announcement will follow for the dates on which the interested parties will have the opportunity to submit the relevant applications electronically, for the period January 2021.

Regarding the extension of the deadline for payment of contributions of self-employed workers to the Social Insurance Fund, the competent Ministry states that due to the increased number of applications of self-employed workers for payment of contributions, based on real income, as well as non-employment declarations COVID-19, the contributions to the Social Insurance Fund concerning contributions on the insurable salaries of the self-employed for the fourth quarter of 2020 may be paid until March 1, 2021, instead of until February 10, 2021.

The Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance announces that the following two Decisions of the Minister of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance were published today in the Official Gazette of the Republic:

  1. The COIVD-19 Supplementary Decision (No. 87) on Special Plans for Dealing with the Impacts of Coronavirus (No. KDP 2021/62). According to the mentioned Decision, companies and self-employed persons active in the field of washing and (dry) cleaning of textile and fur products (Steam cleaners) have the opportunity to participate in the Special Plan for Partial Suspension of the Company (KDP 2021). / 16) and in the Special Plan of Certain Categories of Independent Employees (KDP 2021/18) respectively, which are implemented for the period from 2021η January 2021 until 31η January 2021.

The Decision (No. 88) of 2021 (No. KDP 63/2021) on the Extension of the Deadline for Payment of Contributions of Independent Employees to the Social Insurance Fund. Due to the increased number of applications of self-employed persons for payment of contributions based on real income as well as declarations of non-employment of self-employed persons due to the coronavirus pandemic COVID-19, the contributions to the Social Insurance Fund concerning contributions on the insurable salaries of the self-employed for the fourth quarter of 2020 may be paid up to 1η March 2021, instead of until February 10, 2021.
