Hotel employees will go on a nationwide protest next Wednesday.

In a statement, SYXKA PEO calls on all employees in the hotel industry to gather outside the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance, in order to "immediately demand an end to the unfair treatment they suffer".

The protest will take place on Wednesday, 2/2/2022, at 10:30.

During the protest, they will specifically demand, with unemployment benefit coverage of all unemployed hotel employees, regardless of whether they have completed their contributions, as happened during the previous two years of the pandemic.

According to SYXKA PEO, "the blockade affects hundreds of employees, who will be left without income themselves and their families."

They will also demand the acceleration of the process, for the payment of all the outstanding benefits, after a delay of several months.

SYXKA PEO states that "the necessary arrangements must be made for the payment of benefits at the end of each month".

According to the union, "the thousands of affected workers in the industry are on the verge of misery and this unjust treatment must end immediately."
