Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi begins an official visit to Cyprus today.
This is the first official visit of an Egyptian President to Cyprus. The focus of his talks with President Anastasiadis will be on energy, the economy, education and culture.
The two leaders will also discuss the crisis in Lebanon, following the resignation of Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri.
The official reception of President Sisi will take place at the Presidential Palace, where shortly before 10 the two Presidents will have a private meeting and will follow extended talks of the delegations of the two countries.
At noon, memoranda of understanding between Cyprus and Egypt will be signed, while at one o'clock the President of Egypt will address, in a special session, the plenary session of the House of Representatives.
Tonight at seven, Presidents Anastasiadis and Sisi will be present and will welcome the Cyprus-Egypt business forum organized by the CCCI.
Tomorrow will be the fifth Cyprus-Egypt-Greece summit, with the participation of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
