The "Bankers of GodIs again relevant these days, except that now there is no other sacred conspiracy theories concerning them.

On the contrary, it is science that wants to unravel one of the greatest mysteries surrounding the universal monastic order, their alleged relationship to the Holy Grail.

A team of archaeologists has discovered a secret crypt in a medieval church of the Order in Poland and everyone is looking to find out if and what is hidden there.

As early as last autumn, the archeological dig brought to light many promising secret installations of the Templars, buried under the 13th century temple…

Nine monk knights from France, led by Hugues de Payens, arrive around 1118-1119 AD. in Jerusalem to protect the Christian caravans in the Holy Land, in the aftermath of the First Crusade.

Ως Poor Soldiers of Christ and the Temple of Solomon the battalion that swore safe passage for European pilgrims would be known.

The Knights Templar, however, jumped all-powerful Μέση Ανατολή and Europe, amassing such power and prestige that they could now kneel economically powerful empires.

The Poor Soldiers of the Order of Christ and the Temple of Solomon managed to transform from defenders of the Christian caravans in the Holy Land into bankers of pan-European prestige, to accumulate untold wealth and finally to renounce the Roman Catholic Church.

But how did they come to have such power? They actually found the sacred relics of Christianity, as the legend insists? And the legend insists since the 13th century that the Knights had in their hands the Holy Grail, did not wait for Dan Brown to write his story.

"Guardians of the Holy Grail" was also called in the West and East this mysterious group of Christian fighters who seemed to have spread their nets everywhere.

Although no such story, ancient or modern, has ever been worn sufficient evidence for such a claim, the obvious traces of the Templars alone are enough to tell us a complete story…

The fatal church in Poland

The Knights Templar had many strongholds in Europe and even today they stand most brilliantly in England, France, Italy, Portugal and Spain.

Even in the villages of Polish Pomerania, however, you will find traces of the order, primarily Gothic temples, which testify that after their return from Holy Places settled in Poland.

There the archaeologists focused their research, on a remote Polish village of 100 inhabitants in particular, which may be hiding secrets from what made the Knights known to the ends of the world at the time.

In Chwarszczany in Western Pomerania, near the border with Germany, there is a temple that has been studied by archaeologists for years. A chapel dedicated to Agios Stanislaos (Kostka) was the focus of the excavation and last autumn it hit Diana.

With the help of modern technology, archaeologists have uncovered a number of crypts and secret rooms, as well as a network of underground corridors.

The isolated church of 1232, built of red brick on a granite base, is even made according to the typical Temple, the intricate code of the order that the knights kept as their eyes.

It is clear that the temple has a defensive function, its high walls want to keep out of sight and enemies. It continues to function as a church, although Sunday mornings in Chwarszczany remain quiet to disturb the Temple.

It is in this chapel that archaeologists are constantly discovering new things, bringing knowledge about the knightly order and shedding more light on its occult deeds.

Among the objects that the hoe under his sanctuary has revealed from time to time temple the bodies of some Templars are also included. But also what today seems to be a secret corridor…

What the experts expect

"According to legends, but also medieval documents, there was a well near the church," its leader said recently. excavation Przemysław Kołosowski on CNN, "Rumors want the well to function as an entrance to a secret tunnel. But that requires exhaustive archaeological research. "

As early as the summer of 2019, however, the team is constantly discovering new things down there, from more fortifications and an underground cemetery to a series of crypts. "Our instrument [GPR] has identified Gothic crypts with the remains of Knights Templar beneath the chapel."

As "Gazeta Lubuska" reported last year (September 5, 2019), archaeological research and renovations have been taking place in the church continuously since 2004.

Kołosowski's team got a job in July 2019 and with new imaging techniques, but also a few hundred scientists and volunteers, managed to locate and reveal many things, both in the church and in the surrounding fields.

The excavations have focused on a small part under the stone floors of the temple, where seven vaulted crypts were found.

According to an announcement by OKM, the German manufacturer of imaging technology used in the research, these underground crypts "can not be dated to the years of the Templars".

Maybe they are later, "Gazeta Lubuska" assumes, maybe some people built on the old ones. The church of the Templars itself is built on the site of an older Romanesque church, which complicates the treaty.

And to make the mystery a little more intriguing, a corresponding basement tunnel was discovered by the same group to run underground through the town of Myślibórz, four hours from Chwarszczany on horseback, just a half hour drive.

Myślibórz was colonized by Knights from 1238, as the dukes and margraves of Pomerania rushed to make even greater donations of land to the Knights, seeking their favor. The battalion was gaining more and more territory in the area and was building its strongholds.

"At that time, the Knights Templar amassed a significant force in western Poland," Polish historian Marek Karolczak told CNN. Crusades. "The local rulers wanted to strengthen their power by calling on military battalions to settle in their territories and build headquarters."

But what is there in this extensive underground network? Is the archeological dig ready to reveal real treasures of the Templars? And if so, where, in the church or in the wider area?

Myślibórz has this spectacular underground tunnel that starts from the large church in the main square and ends at the Dominican monastery, which Polish historians claim was originally the Temple of the Templars.

When they were expelled from the city at the end of the 13th century, their medieval legend wanted them to destroy their treasure. Karolczak tells us that rumors, but also ecclesiastical documents of the time, show the Templars hiding him at the bottom of a nearby lake.

What did it contain? chest; "Gold coins and the Holy Grail," says Karolczak bluntly.

And if no serious scientist has ever hinted at Holy Grail, paraphilology is growing for this remote church and what it possibly hides in its bowels.

As Uberto Echo used to say in the monumental and multi-layered "Foucault Pendulum", "The Knights Templar are behind everything"…
