Mrs. Sarri was born on 23/3/1917 in Xylotympou and had 9 brothers. She and her husband lived in England for many years. She worked as a seamstress and he was a barber and a musician. She does not have children of her own, but she has her nieces and their children as her children.
She was always very sociable and smiling. Her dream was to live for many years and she always said to her nieces: "I ask God to let me live up to 100. May I live many years!". She always liked to take care of herself and was almost never stressed.
Her niece, Mrs. Christina Christostomou reports to ant1iwo:
"My aunt always told us how much she wanted to live to be 100. We are happy not only that she succeeded but that she went through it!
When asked what her secret is and what one must do to live so many years, she tells them: “I always drank a glass of wine or zivania at night. I was not easily stressed but I also had a good husband who loved me and took care of me ".
I was always attached to my aunt and for 12 years she lived with us, in my house. I took care of her and I loved her. The last 2 months we brought her to the specific nursing home that is near us and so we can come every day to see her.
She was not upset that she did not have children of her own, perhaps because she always had us, her nieces, close to her. But she always had many friends and relatives who really loved her.
We wish her a thousand and I wish everyone had such a calm life as my aunt had ".
