The Ministry of Health announced on the morning of Good Friday that during the week of April 15-21, 6.115 new cases were identified in Cyprus. Another 18 deaths were also reported with the ultimate cause of the disease covid-19.

- Percentage of patients without a history of vaccination: 44,45%

- 9 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be treated intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.

Diagnostic examinations:

- A total of 269.310 diagnostic tests were performed

- 6.115 new cases were identified (total of 470.319 cases).

- Position rate in all exams 2,27%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):

- 16.531 molecular tests were performed

- There were 790 positive incidents

- Position rate 4,78%

Total Rapid Test:

- 252.779 rapid antigen detection tests were performed

- There were 5.325 positive incidents

- Position rate 2,11%

Tracking:

- 1.807 molecular tests were performed and 58 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 3,21%)

Private initiative:

- 6.268 molecular tests were performed, 533 positive cases were identified (percentage of positivity 8,5%)

- 124.465 rapid antigen detection tests were performed, 3.100 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 2,49%)

128.314 rapid antigen detection tests were performed through the programs of the Ministry of Health. 2.225 positive cases were identified.

- Sampling points: 86.780 rapid detection tests detected 2.050 positive cases (positivity rate 2,36%)

Education

- Primary Education: 18.220 rapid antigen detection tests, 53 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0,29%)

- Secondary Education: 6.779 rapid detection tests detected 13 positive cases (positivity rate 0,19%)

- Test-to-Stay: 1.565 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 15 positive cases were detected (0,96% positivity rate)

- Special Schools: 703 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 1 positive case was detected (positivity rate 0,14%)

Other

- Nursing homes: 7.349 rapid antigen detection tests were performed, 81 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 1,1%)

- Closed structures: 6.806 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 12 new cases were detected (positivity rate 0,18%).

- National Guard: 112 rapid antigen detection tests were performed, no new cases were detected (0% positivity rate).
