The government is closely monitoring the developments and movements of the Turkish Cypriot side regarding the enclosed area of ​​Famagusta, a government source told KYPE, noting that performances and demonstrations take place where they should take place.

According to the same source, the President of the Republic will raise the issue in the meeting he will have on August 9 with the Turkish Cypriot leader, Mustafa Akinci.

It is noted that yesterday the real estate and situation registration team in the enclosed city of Famagusta, entered for the first time in Varosia, together with the "foreigner" Kudret Ozersay, who wrote that they started the field work and research for the uninhabited area. for 45 years.

It is also noted that Resolution 483, which was adopted unanimously yesterday by the UN Security Council on the renewal of UNFICYP for another six months, "recalls the special regime for Varos, as set out in the relevant resolutions".
