Students and teachers of the Avgorou Technical School handed over equipment last Thursday to the General Hospital of Famagusta, which operates as a Reference Hospital for Koronoi.

Specifically, students and professors of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, having at their disposal technological equipment (3D Printer), proceeded to the construction of protective shields.

"Contributing to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, which has plagued humanity in recent months, equipment for the nursing staff was delivered on Thursday, April 16, 2020, to the General Hospital of Famagusta, by a representative representative of the Regional Technical and Agricultural Engineering Αυγόρου.

Specifically, professors and students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, realizing the disproportionate needs that have been created in the national health system by the unprecedented state of the pandemic and having at their disposal technological equipment (3D Printer) proceeded to manufacture protective shields. Upon receipt of the shields, the Director of the Reference Hospital against Corona Dr. Amalia Hatzigianni thanked the School for its initiative as well as for the feelings of solidarity shown by the staff and its students.
