The District Secretariat of DISY Famagusta offered a thousand protective masks to the Municipality of Ayia Napa, in the framework of its initiatives to assist in the fight against the coronavirus.
The surgical masks were handed over to the Mayor Mr. Christos Zannettou, today Wednesday, April 15, in a modest ceremony that took place in his office by the District Secretary Mr. Nikos Georgiou and the Organizational Mr. Mamas Pateras.
Mr. Zannettou expressed his heartfelt thanks to the District Secretariat of DISY Famagusta and personally to Messrs. Georgiou and Patera for the kind gesture and assured that the masks will be distributed to all employees of the Municipality. The Mayor of Ayia Napa added such initiatives, which contribute to social solidarity, and the Municipality welcomes them.
In his own rebuttal, Mr. Georgiou stated that the District Secretariat of DISY Famagusta considers as its primary duty to supply all the Municipalities and Communities of the Province of Famagusta with protective masks, which will be available for the local staff. world is at the forefront and serves society in these difficult times that humanity is going through.
Mr. Georgiou added that our goal is to strengthen the shield of social protection and solidarity from the coronavirus and to assist in the defense of public health and citizens.
