The meeting of executives of EKYSY of the free area of Famagusta, held on Thursday 19/10/2017 and examined the differentiation of the criteria regarding the evaluation of the right to care for the elderly and the implementation of the law on SEN and authorized EKYSY to continue its strong steps aimed at regaining and restoring the rights of retirees to where they were before the cuts that began in March 2013.
As reported, some retirees lost their right to care or the amount they received was significantly reduced, which causes serious health problems for the elderly in need of care.
The announcement refers to the ongoing refusal of the Ministry of Labor to accept redress of an injustice committed against 20-25 thousand low-income pensioners under EU law. and which deprives low-income retirees of the right to apply because, for various reasons, they have not been able to apply in time, either due to difficult legislation or due to health problems or other serious reasons.
