Between 9/7/18 and 13/7/18, the employee in question, as mentioned in the complaint, moved the files out of the land registry and presented a sick leave which was renewed at regular intervals, recording a total of 53 days of absence from work.

The matter came to the notice of the Director of the Department of Lands and Surveys Andreas Socratous, who received the complaint in the form of a letter.

Acting immediately, Mr. Socrates requested that details of the case be sent to him, while the appointment of an investigating officer was requested to determine whether a large volume of files was moved, for what purpose and what was their content.

The complaint also reached the hands of the Auditor General Odysseas Michailidis, while a relevant question was submitted to the competent Ministry of Interior.
