The items were sent to the State Chemist for analyzes, including 2 kilos and 654 grams of cannabis plant material - CBD (banned substance) that were found yesterday in the couple's houses and in a store of organic products, in Paralimni.
According to a representative of YKAN yesterday around 14:30 at noon, they were carried out with court orders, searches in the houses and in a store of organic products in Paralimni, owned by a couple of 63 years old.
During the search, 61 packages containing 2 kg and 654 grams of cannabis plant material - CBD (banned substance) and a metal mill containing half a gram of green cannabis plant material weighing half a gram were found in the couple's homes.
Five sachets containing 100 grams of unknown dry plant substance, 17 glass vials of unknown liquid substance and 8 containers containing unknown substance in the form of ointment were found in the store.
The results from the State Chemist are expected to show whether the findings contain the substance CBD, the circulation of which, according to the Legislation, is prohibited unless there is a relevant license.
The couple was arrested by the Police, however, today they were released to be summoned later before the Court, since among the evidence there was also half a gram of dry cannabis plant material.
