Seminars for the care and custody of children and the elderly are held this year by the Municipality of Paralimni in collaboration with the Center for Offer and Love "Agios Christoforos", in the framework of the Integration Program by Local Authorities "Mosaic of Cultures".
The action, according to an announcement of the Municipality, aims at the active integration of Third Country Nationals in the socio-economic fabric of the Province of Famagusta and is implemented in collaboration with the Municipalities of Paralimni, Ayia Napa, Deryneia, Sotira and Enoros Consulting Ltd, with Co-sponsor , Immigration and Integration as well as the Republic of Cyprus.
The purpose of the seminars that will be conducted by specialized trainers (physiotherapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, nurses) and aimed at Third Country Nationals is to successfully contribute to the care and safety of the elderly, children and people with disabilities.
They will include basic activities in the daily life of the elderly, such as hygiene, food and clothing, and in particular teaching safety at home and First Aid in emergencies. Also, application of basic care for the elderly with various pathological conditions as well as conditions that require help, information about the parts of the body that need special cleaning, the effects of immobility and the parts of the body that statistically develop pressure ulcers and understanding the importance of morning exercise to reduce musculoskeletal disorders.
