Famagusta MP Dr. Kyriakos Hatzigiannis in a letter to the competent minister asked to be informed about the stage at which the construction of the Sotiras-Deryneia road is.
At the same time, in his second letter, Mr. Hatzigiannis asks for the acceleration of the project of regeneration of the river of Liopetri.
Both the Sotiras - Deryneia road, which for many years remains in a very bad condition, and the project for the Liopetri river have been delayed for quite some time, causing great inconvenience to the citizens who are daily affected by the delay.
Mr. Hatzigiannis stressed that the two projects have been repeatedly announced, however to date they have not been implemented. The constant delays in the implementation of the projects cause huge reactions of both the local community and the citizens who visit the area.
Therefore, Mr. Hatzigiannis asked to be informed immediately about the project implementation schedule, while reiterating the urgent need for mobilization of all stakeholders to accelerate the implementation process of projects to protect the public interest and rights of citizens of the Republic.
