Plans for the construction of a new four-star hotel in the Municipality of Sotira were submitted by the company "Anastasia Tsokkou Estates Ltd".
This is an investment of about 8 million euros in a fairly privileged position. The proposed project, according to the Environmental Impact Assessment Study (MEEP), concerns the construction and operation of a hotel unit with a capacity of 206 rooms and apartments (452 beds). Also, the owner of the project is the company "Anastasia Tsokkou Estates Ltd".
In terms of features of the new hotel unit, the proposed development will include 173 rooms, 20 family rooms, 13 rooms for the disabled, waiting area and lounge, bar, outdoor pool with poolbar and children's pool, multipurpose room, two restaurants, multiple room uses, gym, game room, shared toilets and utility rooms.
The new four-star hotel will be able to accommodate 452 guests in its rooms and will be open all year round.
The development plot is located about 100 meters from the sea - and specifically from Sirens Bay beach - and about 25 meters from the beach protection zone. Also quite close are the beach of Agia Thekla and the Marina of Ayia Napa, while it is connected to the Larnaca highway.
The hotel unit will occupy a total of 8.890,95 square meters. Also, the total number of parking spaces will be 112 parking spaces.
Eight million euros are expected to be invested in its construction, which will come from private funds.
The construction of the hotel, according to the study, will not take more than 2 years and it is considered possible that the project will be completed in about 18 months.
According to MEEP, the project falls into category 12 (b): Tourism and leisure - Holiday settlements, hotel complexes and integrated tourist complexes outside urban areas and related infrastructure projects of Annex II of the Environmental Impact Assessment from Some Works of 2018 (Law 127 (I) / 2018).
It is recalled that “A. Tsokkos hotels Public ”acquired the shares of the company that submitted the relevant application about a year ago, together with the shares of other companies of interest of the board of directors of Anastasia Tsokkou.
