Here's a list of tips on what not to do when you've gained a few pounds:

 
1. Don't start skipping meals
Research shows that when you eat every few hours, your blood sugar stabilizes and you are less likely to make the wrong choice at your next meal (because you will not be hungry). Organize and prepare, before you need them, small snacks and meals that are healthy and will prevent you from being paralyzed later in the day.


2. Don't punish yourself mentally
Punishing yourself by looking at your idol in the mirror or showing the excess fat in your belly to your girlfriend will not magically eliminate your extra pounds, but, on the contrary, will work against you. Research shows that people who are compassionate about themselves can change their behavior more effectively. So when you treat yourself with arrogance, then you may become more angry and resort to "emotional food". Better accept the pounds you have gained (for now) and focus on the good dietary choices you have made so far.


3. Don't spend a lot of money on new clothes
Weight loss will be followed by fatigue and constant tiredness, until you can wear your skinny jeans again. In the meantime, you can do some shopping selectively. You do not need to walk away, since the weight you have is temporary. Buying some pieces alone can make you feel better about your appearance, as there is nothing worse than trying to breathe wearing jeans. Remember that if you feel comfortable, you will make the right choices in your diet.
