That is why we, in our turn, as a Local Authority, honor you today (Tuesday, June 7) with a commemorative plaque and we will award you with the emblem of the "Ambassador of Tourism of Ayia Napa", as a small sign of appreciation for the practical love that you show all these years to our city and its inhabitants ".
With the above words, the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Giannis Karousos, welcomed in his office the couple Tony and Shirley Noon from Great Britain, who during a short ceremony proclaimed them "Ambassadors of Tourism of Ayia Napa" on the occasion of the 30 visits in Ayia Napa.
The British tourists after expressing their warm thanks to the Mayor said that "it is with feelings of joy and satisfaction that we receive today from you this important distinction of your city, something that we are very honored and we assure you that it is another additional reason beyond its beauties, its hospitable inhabitants, its blue seas and golden sands to visit Ayia Napa even more often ".
