The operational action of the Police against drugs is emphasized, with the arrest of two persons by Y.KAN, aged 22 and 19 in Limassol, in whose possession a quantity of 5,5 kilos of cannabis was found. It is also noted that the above persons were riding large motorcycles, which had been declared immobilized, without a driver and registration license and without a safety certificate.
Regarding the investigation of the various cases, there is the arrest of a 15-year-old man, who is involved in three (3) cases of car theft, which were in operation, crimes that were recently committed in Limassol. Also, 2 more 16-year-olds were arrested for three (3) car theft cases in Limassol. Possessions of car keys and other items were found in their possession, which were received as evidence and are being evaluated.
It is noteworthy for the police that five (5) traffic accidents have been recorded and as it was found the drivers were under the influence of alcohol with indications 127, 122, 112 and 91 respectively, above the limit of 22 mg. Also, yesterday 26/12/2016 at 19:15, a 32-year-old man was driving his car on Tseriou Avenue in Strovolos, in the direction of the Tseriou-Tseri roundabout, with his 31-year-old wife and his 3-year-old daughter as passengers in the back seats. years. At some point on the road, under conditions that are being investigated, in his attempt to enter with a right turn inside Avgerinou Street, he collided with a car driven by a 37-year-old man. The 32-year-old, his wife and their minor daughter were transported to the General Hospital of Nicosia where the 31-year-old was kept for follow-up due to the fact that she is in the 7th month of pregnancy. The three-year-old was transported to Makareio Hospital where she was kept for treatment, due to a skull fracture. The 32-year-old was tested for alcohol with a final reading of 134mg instead of 22mg.
