Ingredients

1 kg of shrimp
1/2 sliced ​​lemon
1/2 cup vegetable butter
2 medium chopped onions
1 clove of garlic
1 sprig of celery without leaves
some sprigs of parsley
1 small box of peeled tomatoes
1 tablespoon chopped tomato paste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped sugar
2 teaspoons chopped salt
a little pepper
2 laurel leaf
a little paprika
2 cups rice

Implementation

Wash the raw shrimp with plenty of water and clean them from the shell and the black string between the shrimp (small intestine).

In a saucepan pour 4 cups water and sliced ​​lemon. When the water starts to boil, add the shrimp and let them simmer for 5 minutes.

Then drain them and hold a cup of their water. In another pot, heat the butter and sauté the onions and garlic until they wither.

Put the celery tied with the sprigs of parsley, the tomatoes, the tomato paste, the lemon juice, the sugar, the salt, the pepper, the bay leaf, the paprika and the water from the shrimp in the pot.

Let the sauce simmer for 30 minutes until it sets. Then add the shrimp and simmer with the sauce for another 5 minutes.

In a saucepan, boil the rice in plenty of salted water, drain it and put it in a form. Put the shrimp with their sauce on the rice.
