Larnaca: With the filing of maps from the scene of the quadruple murder on the night of June 23, 2016 in Ayia Napa, the hearing process before the Permanent Criminal Court of Larnaca - Famagusta continued today.

 The victims of the attack were businessman Fanos Kalopsidiotis, police officer Elias Hadjiefuthymiou, his wife Skevi Hadjieffthymiou and Yiani Vogli, one of the perpetrators.

Defendants are 42-year-old Loy Dejan, 39-year-old Marios Christodoulou, 38-year-old Benny, 28-year-old Panagiotis Pentavkas and XNUMX-year-old Sofia Grigoriou, who are jointly facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder, premeditated murder, attempted murder, and premeditated acts. bodily injury, possession of a B-class firearm, possession of a class A firearm, possession of a B-class firearm and possession of a class A firearm.

 The four defendants were taken to the courtroom of the Criminal Court, accompanied by armed police officers of the MAAD, who were by their side throughout the proceedings. The courtroom was also filled with police officers from various services of the Force, while everyone who entered the courtroom, including journalists, went through a police checkpoint.

 During today's trial, Steve Theodoulou, chief warden at the Famagusta TAE serving in the tax planning department, testified as a prosecution witness, who went to the scene of the quadruple murder the next day, ie on June 24, 2016, where he made measurements and prepared a plan.

The blueprints and measurements of Mr. Theodoulou were made on the basis of the 73 points of the scene in total, from where men of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Police Headquarters, collected various items. These points include the blueprints where the bodies of the four victims of the attack were located.

The testimony of the witness was filed before the Criminal Court as a presumption and was part of his main examination.

Answering questions from the representative of the Prosecution Authority Elli Papagapiou, the witness said that the maps and sketches he prepared concerned specific areas such as the covered area of ​​the Stone Garden restaurant where the murder took place, the covered area of ​​the restaurant next to it, Accommodation in the corner of which is the restaurant where the murder was committed.

The maps and sketches prepared by Mr. Theodoulou were submitted as evidence before the Criminal Court, while as he mentioned on June 27, 2016 he went to the stage again accompanied by Kyriakos Charitonidis, Famagusta Land Registry Officer who prepared a scene for her.

 Kyriakos Charitonidis, who works as a Cadastral Officer of the XNUMXnd Class of Surveying at the Famagusta Land Registry, testified as a prosecution witness. Mr. Charitonidis' testimony was presented as a presumption before the Court and was part of his main examination.

Mr. Charitonidis confirmed what Mr. Theodoulou said, noting that they went to the scene together on June 27, 2016, where, at the suggestion of the chief constable and with the help of a GPS surveillance instrument, he prepared maps showing the murder scene.

Answering questions from Ms. Papagapiou, Mr. Charitonidis said that Steve Theodoulou pointed out the 73 points of the scene, which he identified from photographs and prepared his own detailed maps.

These maps were submitted before the Criminal Court as evidence while a photo of the area was also submitted, which was taken from an airplane in 2014 and is harmonized with the topographic plans of the Famagusta Land Registry. The witness pointed out in this photo scenes of the area such as the Stone Garden restaurant, Nisi Avenue and Katalimaton Street.

 The hearing is expected to continue tomorrow, February 8, with the submission by a member of the Police of approximately 200 items received from the scene of the quadruple murder.
