New hotels
More specifically, it is mentioned that before the Department of Urban Planning, there are twelve applications for construction or conversion of hotels. In particular, it is mentioned that these are six applications for the construction of new hotels and six applications for the conversion of apartments into hotels. The owners of the premises are taking advantage of the urban incentives announced and implemented by the government.
According to the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Giannis Karousos, "all of Ayia Napa will benefit from the incentives and all the citizens are working to upgrade the area". He added that Ayia Napa contributes to the development of the economy and the tourism industry in particular.
