In New Zealand, country salad costs as much as... in Mykonos! The price of country salad has skyrocketed this summer and in Greece it is sold more expensively than even restaurants in London and New York.

For example, in London at one of the most luxurious Greek restaurants, the Greek salad costs 23,40 euros and in the USA 16 euros, while in Greece they sell it for up to 26 euros.

In Mykonos, the salad with tomato, cucumber, kritamo, olives and feta is 26 euros, while in another restaurant on the island of the winds, the village salad with Santorini tomatoes, panna cotta feta, Florini pepper, capers and tomato vinaigrette costs 16 euros.

And if this is the price of Mykonos, the prices in Athens do not go back either. In a restaurant overlooking the Acropolis, a Greek salad with cherry tomatoes, cucumber, feta cheese, peppers, onion, reed olives, breadcrumbs, oregano and extra virgin olive oil costs 19 euros.

In Santorini, the Greek salad is at prices ranging from 13 euros to 12,5 euros.

The village restaurant in Plaka is a little cheaper, where the tomato, cucumber, onion, olives, feta, oregano salad with extra virgin olive oil costs 11,5 euros, while it is slightly cheaper in a neighboring restaurant with a price of 11 euros.

At Thisio, in a well-known restaurant, the salad with cherry tomatoes, barrel-aged feta cheese, croutons, Cretan cucumber, olives and onion costs 14 euros.
In Monastiraki, the village salad is 7,8 euros, a price that many neighborhood restaurants that have the same salad have.

The prices, as the consumers say, have gone up by 20-30%, that is, the salad that costs 9 euros a while ago was only 7.
