The image of Manos Daskalakis bursting into tears immediately after the end of his three-day testimony was the last scene before he left the witness stand at the Joint Jury Court in Athens where his estranged wife Roula Pispirigou is on trial for the murder case of their first-born daughter Georgina.A little earlier, the defendant, who is flanked by her mother, sister and stepfather, did not hide her irritation when Manos Daskalakis, questioned by Alexis Kougia's counsel, replied that he did not remember any events related to the pending case. Answering related questions, the witness said that the defendant "did everything for the child" while agreeing that he had not realized that she was trying to be alone with him.

Witness: We were together, that's what I was showing her
Alexis Kougias: She had it in her mind that you were together. He was convinced of this... So he had no reason to kill.
