The nightmarish hours and panic that prevailed inside the train that derailed in Tempe after the collision with a commercial train are described by passengers.

"They were breaking windows and people were screaming. In the wagon, panic. One of the windows had gone all the way in together with the wall, as if it was collapsing from the weight of an iron coming from the adjacent train or from where we collided", describes a young passenger to SKAI.

He explained that he didn't see anything at the time of the collision, just that the train started to jerk more and more.

"I walked forward and saw the worst part of the collision. The whole train had bent 90 degrees, had fallen over the cliff and half was in the air hanging and the whole thing was on fire. He had five injured just where I was," adds the passenger.
