The train collision in Tempi brought scenes of ancient tragedy to the hospitals of Larissa as well. Ambulances with dead and injured arrived one after the other...
The image from the hospitals of Larissa, where dozens of injured people were taken after the train accident in the valley of Tempe, is heartbreaking. According to information, until 08:00 the General Hospital of the city counted 14 dead and 20 injured.
One of them was transferred to the Military hospital, which has been on alert since last night. What is even more unpleasant than the General Hospital is the fact that most of the dead are students.
In the meantime, the bodies of 9 people and 48 injured have been transferred to the University Hospital, of which two have been intubated in the Intensive Care Unit and are in critical condition.
It should also be noted that among the injured are two children aged 7 years and 9 months respectively, who are said to have been slightly injured.
Rescue and firefighting operations are continuing and there are fears that the death toll is likely to rise.
