An alarm was sounded in the early hours of Friday (4/5), at 04:00, when a Turkish merchant ship came in contact with a Navy gunboat, in a sea area off Mytilene.
The information states that the Turkish merchant ship approached from the left the gunboat "Armatolos" which was patrolling east of Mytilene.
In a maneuver, the merchant ship fell on the cannon at the height of the ship's hull. Immediately after he sailed with speed to the Turkish waters!
It should be noted that none of the crew of the gunboat was injured and the boat, according to initial estimates has not suffered any significant damage.
According to Militaire.gr, the incident is assessed as suspicious and serious, a few hours after the visit of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to the island of Mytilene.
