Ο death of the pediatrician, Vasilikis Karagiannis, since the bad weather that occurred in Pieria, at the weekend, has shocked relatives and friends.
The 55-year-old doctor, who was going to visit a friendly house with her car, never managed to reach it and was found dead in a stream in Skotina, Pieria.
Initially, her car was found, which was swept away by the rushing waters and after a search by the Fire Brigade to locate her, consisting of 9 firefighters with 3 vehicles, she was found nearby, without her senses and was picked up by an EKAB ambulance.
Apparently, the doctor got out of her vehicle, tried to get away, but the rushing water from bad weather who broke out and was dragged away, resulting in a tragic death.
A tragic figure is the eldest daughter of the 55-year-old doctor, who is a rural doctor at the General Hospital of Katerini and has been looking for her mother since Saturday night, while on Sunday morning she went to work normally.
